YENAGOA—BAYELSA State Commissioner of Education, Mr Markson Fefegha, has warned striking teachers in the state to return to the classrooms today or risk being declared ‘ghost workers’ and replaced immediately.

A statement by Fefegha, weekend, said that the move was in line with the directive of the Nigerian Union of Teachers, NUT, to all teaching and non-teaching staff to resume work from today.
He said:

“A team of inspectors from the state Ministry of Education is to visit all primary and post-primary schools across the state to ensure that, all categories of academic and non-academic staff return to work.”
“The exercise, which is expected to commence from tomorrow is to ensure that, all categories of academic and non-academic staff in primary and post primary schools returns to work.”
